Abstract

The construction technology and architecture Turkey has today, is the product of the economic,
political and industrial environment from the Early Republic till today. With the Early Republic,
economic conditions, development/growth strategy, industrialization infrastructure and approach
brought to a level. With the Early Republic economic conditions and development/growth strategy
brought industrialization infrastructure and approach to a level. As in every branch of industry, this
level has directly affected the construction sector in terms of intellectual environment, technique,
technology production, material production technology, machinery-equipment and labor.Aim of the study: To determine the architectural production approach in terms of
technique/technology in the political and economic environment between the Early Republic (1923)
and the late 1980s. Turkey's industrialization behavior between 1923 and 1980 is a product of the
country's political and economic environment.. These environmental conditions, its technique and
technology, directly determine the level/technology of the constructional/architectural production
environment. The research period: defined between 1923- late 1980s. Document analysis of the
research; content and thematic analysis were applied. Units of the research; Development Plans.
The first five development plans were examined through the identified themes.
