This article considers the formation of the professional competence of students through the teaching of biological disciplines in Kazakh, Russian and English. A multilingualism - the dictates of time. Multilingualism is a very common phenomenon that has received much scholarly attention in recent years. [1] In many parts of the world, it has also become popular to teach mainstream or even all curriculum subjects in English. Some, however, have found this to be detrimental in several ways and have therefore reverted to teaching subjects in their national language. Many are concerned about the possibility that languages with a small number of speakers are doomed to being lost and replaced by a national language, or that their national language could eventually be replaced by English. This could have important repercussions both on local cultures and on international relations, given the emotive aspects of one's first language. Vital decisions on language are frequently made based on the need for English in careers [2]. Over the past few decades, significant economic and political changes have taken place around the world. These changes also have put a significant mark on language teaching and learning practices across the globe. There is a clear movement towards multilingual practices in the world, which is also evident in the title of UNESCO 2003 education position paper, "Education in a multilingual world" [3]. Head of State N.Nzarbayev in his messages to the people of Kazakhstan on January 31, 2017 clearly showing the relevance of studying the English language and the way of transition to it said: "I instruct the Government to submit relevant proposals. On the issue of phased transition to trilingual education. The Kazakh language will retain its dominant position. Much attention will be paid to its further development. At the same time, today English is the language of new technologies, new industries, and a new economy. Currently, 90% of the information is created in the world in English. Every two years its volume is doubled. Without mastering English, Kazakhstan will not achieve national progress." [4]. To teach school discipline in Kazakh, Russian and English, the teachers of the school, along with the subject knowledge, must master these languages. In this regard, educational programs are made up in the developmental directions of multilingualism. In this academic year, first year students of 5B011300- biology specialty will be study 50% - in Kazakh, 30% - in Russian and 20% - in English according to the curriculum of elective professional disciplines. The transition to the teaching of biological disciplines in the three languages will be gradual. The disciplines "Professionally-oriented Kazakh / Russian Language" and "Professionally-oriented Foreign Language", that are studied in the second year, are compiled taking into account the interdisciplinary connections of the disciplines of natural sciences and the discipline of the professional cycle. In addition, this program fully reflects the main provisions on which the concept of language training of students of a higher education institution is built.
