This study addresses the problem of discriminatory and exclusionary attitudes toward homosexuals in protectionist societies, addressing the obstacles to communication among homosexuals, a marginalized element of society. The lack of social cohesion due to the exclusion and deprivation of homosexuals is evaluated. Although many studies have been conducted on ethnic minorities in the field of science, relatively few studies have been conducted on homosexuals, which reveals discrimination. Approaches to homosexuality, which disrupt social peace, are evaluated from the perspective of social communication, particularly in countries like Turkey, which oppose homosexuality based on religious beliefs and restrict almost all life opportunities for homosexuals. Although homosexuality has been identified as a chromosome misalignment from medical science's perspective, the dominance of religious beliefs rather than science in conservative societies has led to the development of misguided attitudes, leading to the exclusion and deprivation of communication opportunities for homosexuals. The exclusion, humiliation, and disruption of communication of any group within a social structure poses problems not only for that group but for society as a whole. Like other ethnic groups, homosexuals are viewed as deviant, outside the mainstream, and are subjected to humiliation, sometimes even violence, which leads to various social problems, including communication. Social peace, unity, and reconciliation require understanding of all social groups and characters, and respect for their genes, culture, and identities.
